Box Office: Bodyguard To Be The First Film To Collect 100 Crores In 7 Days?

Looking at the current box office numbers, Salman Khan – Kareena kapoor starrer Bodyguard is all set to be the first ever Bollywood film to collect 100 Crores in the week 1 itself. On day one (on Wednesay), Bodyguard collected whopping 21 Crores nett, which is a record for day 1. The previous record holder was Dabangg, which had collected 18 Crores on day 1. On the 2nd day it collected 18 Cores, which is once again a record. It is even more commendable for the fact that 2nd day was not a Holiday in many places like it was on day 1 (it was Eid holiday on Wednesday). In first two days, Boduguard collected 39 Crores and it is a record and this figure indicates that it would be able to cross the 100 Crores mark in next 5 days, especially since weekend is coming up. However, the collections on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be crucial in deciding whether it could touch that dream figure in week 1. A drop in the collections is expected on weekdays. Monday and Tuesday may not be as huge as the first 5 days. Therefore, the first 5 day collections will be crucial for the film to touch the 100 Crores mark.
Trade guru Taran Adarsh tweeted “#Bodyguard: At the rate it is faring, should cross the magical figure of Rs 85 cr + in its 5-day weekend, which will be a new record.” We wish all the very best for the film to become the biggest hit ever!
